Jackson State University (JSU) is a public, historically Black university (HBCU) located in Jackson, Mississippi. Founded in 1877, JSU is the fourth largest university in Mississippi and offers a comprehensive array of academic programs through its several colleges and schools. The university is classified as an R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity.
JSU offers over 90 academic programs, including bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, and doctoral degrees across areas such as business, education, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, health sciences, liberal arts, and social sciences. -
